Alián Martínez Rives, born in Sancti Spíritus, Cuba in 1988, lives and works in Miami, Florida. Rives received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Technology from the New World School of the Arts and the University of Florida in 2021. Rives is an interdisciplinary artist who describes his experience living in the Cuban diaspora. He seeks to explore the use of technology in a post-Internet media environment and its attempt to create a hyper-tech visual disturbance.
